A safe place to talk, reflect and heal

Hello, and thank you for visiting.

Everyday life can be challenging, but there is often a sense that we should simply cope with all the ups and downs. Yet exploring our thoughts and feelings, with gentle guidance, can bring enormous relief, helping to make sense of everything, and enabling us to move forward.

At Clear View Counselling, I offer a calm space for individuals and couples to talk things through, and to be truly heard – an opportunity to breathe, reflect and feel supported.

Prioritising your mental and emotional wellbeing is a valuable and courageous step. Whatever brings you here, you are warmly welcomed. Please take your time, and when you are ready, I am here to help.

ABOUT YOU

Are you struggling with life at the moment?

Whatever challenges you are facing, and however you feel, I’m here to listen and to support.

Life can take difficult turns, or not be all you had hoped for. You may be struggling with work, a relationship, or your own sense of self. Past events could be affecting your thoughts and feelings, or you might be worried about the future. Sometimes we can simply feel stuck, lost or confused, and unsure what to do next.

You may be feeling unhappy, stressed or overwhelmed. Perhaps you are lonely, grieving, anxious or depressed. It’s also quite possible you are not exactly sure what’s troubling you, only that something is not quite right. The important thing is to reach out, and we can gently begin from wherever you are.

ABOUT ME

Melody Ableson, person-centred therapist and counsellor

Hi, my name is Melody and I hope that I’ll be able to help you.

I offer counselling and therapy for adults aged 18+ and couples at my home in Northaw, close to Potters Bar, Enfield and Barnet. I provide a warm, quiet and confidential space for you to talk openly about whatever you are struggling with. I can also offer online sessions if that suits your circumstances better.

I am a qualified person-centred therapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). If you would like, you can find out more about my experience and the benefits of person-centred therapy.

It was probably one of the best decisions of my life

"I was struggling really badly before making the decision to have therapy. For me it wasn't an easy decision. In the end I chose Melody because I got a good vibe when we first spoke on the telephone. It was probably one of the best decisions of my life."

What I can help with

These are the most common areas of support I provide, but I appreciate that sometimes things overlap, or may not seem easy to pinpoint. If there are other issues you are troubled by, where counselling could help, or if you feel any uncertainty, do please reach out for an initial conversation.

Melody is incredibly kind and creates such a calm, safe environment

"I had a short course of therapy with Melody for anxiety and panic attacks, and it made a huge difference. Melody is incredibly kind and creates such a calm, safe environment that really allows you to reflect. She helped me set realistic, achievable goals and gently encouraged me to try new tools that truly worked for me. "
